Library patrons with valid library cards and new students who enroll in at least one class are automatically set-up with a library account that is accessible online. When you access your library account online you will be able to see all of the items you currently have checked out, renew items, and place a hold on an item. You will need to know your library barcode number in order to view your account online. For students, staff, and faculty, your library barcode number is printed on your CLC ID card. For other patrons, your barcode number is printed on your library card.

Getting a library card

Cards are available at the Circulation Desk located on the first floor of the LRC at the Grayslake campus, the testing center at Lakeshore campus, and the library at the Southlake campus. The Circulation Staff, will be happy to assist you in applying for a card. Currently regestered CLC online students can apply for a card online. Restrictions apply.

Accessing library resources from off-campus

Many of the library's online resources are available from home. You will need a valid CLC ID number to access them (current Student, Faculty, or Staff members only). Please visit the F.A.Q page if you have trouble accessing these resources remotely.
