Calling All Non-Profits!The Lake County Philanthropy Center has a home in the John C. Murphy Library.
The Center, in partnership with the Donors Forum of Chicago, features resources to help nonprofits reach their potential. The Center is open during convenient weekend and evening hours, and offers access to:
• Proposal writing guides, management tools and other essential resources
• Online prospect research tools, such as Illinois Funding Source and Wealth Engine - available on campus only
• Foundation Center directories of grantmakers (Accessible online from the computers in the Reference Lab at the Grayslake Campus)
• Helpful Librarians to assist with research
• Free prospect research orientations

The Library Adds a New Database
Westlaw’s Campus Research is an easy-to-use online research service that provides college and university students with a comprehensive collection of news, law-related, and business information sources. No matter what your discipline—social science, pre-law, marketing, political science, and more—Campus Research meets your research needs.
Westlaw is available on campus only.

Renewal of Library Materials
The Library is happy to announce that students and staff now have the ability to renew items through the Library website at school or at home.
Click on “View Your Own Record” on the bottom of the Library main page under “Borrowing Information” or on the Library Catalog page. Log onto your record page with your name and bar code number (from your Library card). At this page, you can click to renew most materials.
Items that can be renewed:
Books
AV items (including music, visual, and audio)
Items that cannot be renewed:
Anything that’s on reserve
Interlibrary loan items
Items that cannot be checked out (like reference books)
Overdue items
Items that have been renewed once before
Save yourself a trip or a phone call to the Library by trying this easy and convenient procedure!
