Special Needs
We currently have two workstations for students with special needs in the Reference Lab. The desks provide clearance for a wheelchair and a local printer is attached for easy access to your printed documents. In addition, one of the stations is equipped with a with special software that will magnify text, graphics, etc. on the computer screen for those who are visually impaired. The computers at each special needs workstation have the same software installed on them as the computers in the rest of the lab as well as access to all the same databases and other resources.

Audio Visual (for viewing AV materials in the library)
VHS and DVD players are available in the basement of the library for students who wish to view a video that is either required by an instructor or for fun. Go to the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the library for headphones and for help using the machines. There are two small rooms where 3-4 people may view a video together.

Microfilm and Microfiche Readers The library still maintains a small collection of microfilm and microfiche that are stored in the circulation area of the second floor of the library. There are three machines available in the reference lab for viewing these items and there are printers attached if you need to print something out. Please note that printing costs 10 cents per page at these stations. If you need help using these materials please notify the reference desk.

Apple iPod Nanos The library has a small selection of iPod Nanos that are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk. The iPods can only be checked out in conjunction with a selection of approximately 62 different audiobooks. To find available books search the library catalog by Media Type and enter Audio Book iPod. These are limited to CLC students and staff.
