Getting Your Library Card

Who is Eligible?

Eligibility for a library card includes the following: College of Lake County students, college district residents, including high school students with a valid high school I.D., and persons employed in Lake County.

What do I Need Before I Can Apply?

When applying for a library card, a picture I.D. (driver's license or state I.D.) or two other forms of identification printed with your current address (e.g., electric bill or checkbook) is required.

Where Do I Apply?

Cards are available at the Circulation Desk located on the first floor of the LRC at the Grayslake campus. The Circulation Staff, will be happy to assist you in applying for a card.

  • Library cards are also used as identification cards for campus events
  • Faculty and staff ID cards can be used in place of library cards to check out books
  • The new student ID cards can also be used in place of library cards
  • Any resident of Lake County is eligible for a library card

Spring Semester

Monday - Thursday
8:00a.m. - 10:00p.m.

Friday
8:00a.m. - 4:30p.m.

Saturday:
9:00a.m. - 4:30p.m.

Sunday:
1:00p.m. - 5:00p.m.
